UK- Merida Trans Scotland

Laatste nieuws:
Dear Ivo,
We have been up to our eyes in preparation work for the forthcoming TransScotland event. Things are looking really good and we anticipate getting the entry form out in the next couple of weeks. The date for the TransScotland is the 26th May – 3rd June 2007. The event will be covering the greater 7Stanes area in Scotland, with a start and finish in Selkirk – home of the legendary Marathon.
Our friends at the Forestry Commission Scotland who are overlooking the 7Stanes (www.7stanes.gov.uk) area have been really supportive in the early stages of the course planning and the route looks like it’s going to be an absolute classic. Even the regular 7Stanes rider will be surprised what our course director Pete Laing has found out there. Pete has been with us on the marathon side of things for a while and is responsible for the fantastic Merida Bikes MTB Marathon round in Selkirk.
Such has been the demand for places in the TransScotland we have started a pre-entry list for people who know they want to ride. Everybody on that list will receive the entry form and further instructions at least a week before we open entries to the public. There are almost 500 riders on pre-entry list already. We will only be able to take 300 entries so we suggest you better be quick to send your entry form and your payment in to us as soon as you receive it. If you want to be put onto that list simply send an email to info@mtbtransuk.co.uk.
You will find further details on the event with the (provisional) stage plan for the TransScotland, requirement lists, events details and a general overview of the concept behind the event on www.mtbtransuk.co.uk - as I said though it will take a little while before this is all sorted out.
So that’s it for now…more Trans event news very soon.
Mike
Dus gegadigden wachten best niet tot je kan inschrijven op de website!
Dan zal het waarschijnlijk al te laat zijn.

Dear TransUK rider,
after weeks of hard work on the details of the 2007 TransUK event we are finally ready to launch the Chain Reaction Cycles TransScotland '07. As you are one of the many people on our pre-entry list for this event here the entry form.
We have currently almost 750 pre-entry riders on that list which means that the event could sell out before we make this entry form public. We will wait till the 19th December before we will send the entry details to the press, to our TransUK newsletter and to our website - which means that you have a head start of 7 days. It is no problem if you want to forward this email to your team partner for the event but please do not sent it out to the general public at this stage. The entry form will be put on our side but not before the beginning of next week.
If you are interested in taking part in the event we can only recommend to enter as soon as possible. Entries will be handled on a first come first served basis. Please print the attached document off, fill it in and post together with your deposit check to our Bristol office. Please remember that every rider has to fill in a form. If you do have difficulties opening the attached file or if you have any further questions please drop us an email and we will try to help.
Besides the entry form we have also been busy on our website www.mtbtransuk.co.uk. On there you will find further details and information on the Chain Reaction TransScotland 2007 events.
We hope you will find the new event the challenge you have been waiting.
That is it for now - more news soon via the website and our newsletter.
Looking forward to meeting lots of you in Scotland next year.
Regards,
Michael Wilkens
